There are lots to see and do in Aude. There are mountains, vineyards and beaches. Great for photography, painting, birdwatching, fishing, cycling and canoeing. Both the River Aude and the Canal du Midi meander through Aude to the Mediterranean Sea.

Lovely historic, town with evidence of Roman existence. Several good restaurants line the Canal du Robine too.

Market day, shopping and Lake.
Olonzac has a lake (Lac de Jouarres) which has a beach, café and wind surfing. The town has several restaurants, boulangerie, banks and post office. Tuesday is market day, 8am to 1pm, which is an amazing sight to see, sprawling in a hudge V shape along 3, or 4, streets, with a variety of stalls.

Olonzac has a lake (Lac de Jouarres) which has a beach, café and wind surfing. The town has several restaurants, boulangerie, banks and post office. Tuesday is market day, 8am to 1pm, which is an amazing sight to see, sprawling in a hudge V shape along 3, or 4, streets, with a variety of stalls.
Our nearest beach
Amazingly long, sandy beach. During the summer, there is a beach bar/restaurant and life guards. Narbonne Plage is only 35 minutes by car.

My Favourite Beach
Leucate plage is a beautiful, sandy beach. The Mediterranean sea is warm and calm and so clear, you can see the fish swimming around you. During the summer there are life guards on the beach and there are two amazing 'pop-up' restaurant/bars. Dogs are allowed on the beach (away from the life guard patrolled area) and bins can be found on the beach. Sunbeds, surfboards and paddle boards can be hired.

Coffee, Boats and Food
The Canal Du Midi can be found just 2km away. Good tow paths for cycling or walking to Homps and Carcassonne in one direction or Capestang, Beziers and Agde in the other. Alternatively you can sit by the Canal du Midi in Homps and watch the boats go by. There are several good restaurants in Homps, overlooking the canal too.

The Canal Du Midi can be found just 2km away. Good tow paths for cycling or walking to Homps and Carcassonne in one direction or Capestang, Beziers and Agde in the other. Alternatively you can sit by the Canal du Midi in Homps and watch the boats go by. There are several good restaurants in Homps, overlooking the canal too.

Book in to sample five wine vintages of the Corbières region. Choose from wine tasting, wine and tea tasting, walk the vineyard, Tour the Château and cellars or have winegrower's breakfast.
