Excellent local hike. Not super difficult, but just enough to get the heart rate up and still hold a conversation for about 3 miles. Lots of different scenery, good bird watching, and beautiful wildflowers in the spring/early summer

I would recommend continuing out to the 'point' (take the trail east from the summit) for the best overlook of Colorado Springs. If your party is more adventuresome then about 3/4 of a mile in you can take the right turn to go to the Mount Mocusco trail which is longer and more difficult
