Kikhavn is an old fishing town and village. Its history goes back to 1200. Until the late 1500s Kikhavn was a main supplier of herring to the European market. The houses in the village is from 1800 as a result of a major fire years earlier. The surroundings are very beautiful with nice paths along the sea with breathtaking views.

Train to Hillerød or Hundested. This station is only a 15 min walk away. Switch train at Hillerød to go for a daytrip to Copenhagen. Enjoy the scenery changes from beautiful fields and quaint villages to the hectic metropolis Copenhagen.

Once in the Middle Ages, this North Zealand area was under the Pope's direct protection. The changing popes of the Middle Ages probably had no idea what this monastery would later be exposed to. With the closure of Denmark's monasteries during the Reformation, buildings and lands were not only taken over by the Crown. King Frederik 2 also demolished nine tenths of the huge monastery complex and turned the monastery into his North Zealand hunting lodge.

Tothaven is located just outside the old fishing village of Kikhavn.
In the yard we have dairy goats, ponies, donkeys, woolen pigs, Kune kune pigs, mocus ducks, running legs, turkeys, honey bees, hens, rabbits, cats and dogs. During the summer there will be plenty of animal picks to chill with.
Now you are visiting here it is also possible to buy a trekking trip on one of our ponies for 20, -.
In our cozy Farm Café you can buy:
Organic ice cream, juice, tea, coffee and homemade cake
Cars can be parked on the ground. Opening hours: Wednesday-Sunday at 14-17 (closed outside the summer holidays ).

For many years, the place functioned as a training camp for the Danish defense, which closed and extinguished the Auderødlejren camp in 2008. Since then, parts of the camp have been used as an asylum center. The place stands in many places as the day the military left it - with dried coffee in the coffee cups, telex strips in sacks, dusty phone books and things and cases left all around.

Therefore, you drive both on landscaped gravel paths and the natural forest paths. The whole track is blue, and 28 km long but can be divided into three parts, which can be driven individually. With its 28 kilometers, the track is Zealand's longest MTB track.
