Conseils aux voyageurs

Voyage avec enfants

Traveling with kids.

It can be a long day for kids when sightseeing in New Orleans. I recommend that they are rested before starting out and bring some snacks. I would be sure to include their interest in some of the places you visit. If you go out at night, you may want a baby sitter for the little ones. (I am often available.) If they are very young, you will want a stroller for them. During the summer put a hat on them and sunscreen. I think planning breaks for the little ones is smart and maybe bring also a book that you can read to them when waiting in lines or while riding to your location.
Manières d'économiser

The bus is a way to go all over the town.

It cost $1.25 to ride the bus and another 25 cents will get you a transfer to get on another bus line. They like exact change so have your money for your group ready. The streetcar is park of the bus system and are a unique way to ride around with many things to see along the way. Uber and cabs are another way to get around. If you bring a car, you can use Google maps to get to your destination. Pay attention to parking restriction signs or your can may be towed. I suggest that you take a picture of the name of the street where you park and the address.
Phrases utiles

local greetings

There are many ways we say hello, "Where ya at, a nod and the word alright and what's up, How ya doin?", are among them. If someone bets you that they can tell you where you got those shoes, don't bet them! They will say, " On your feet" and want the money for the bet.
