Grab a bucket of Lone Star Beer for $1 apiece and sit on the balcony - great people watching and excellent burgers. Sunday afternoon usually has some live acoustic music. $20 to park by the river, but you can back your vehicle up to the water and put the chairs in the shallow water.

They deliver to the door of the condo and the food is good. You can order through Yelp or the EAT24 app (don't pay attention to the Yelp reviews, we have ordered several times and it has always been good)

Beautiful park built where the Comal River starts, lots of springs and old cypress trees. Mini-train and paddle boats are great for the kids.

The oldest continually operating dance hall in Texas. If you haven't been there - go - even if it's just to stroll around inside and look at the autographed headshots on the walls. And they only take cash (ATM across street). You can Uber for $6-8 if you plan on drinking, plus you don't have to find a parking spot.

In addition to the Alamo, there are 4 more churches that were also built in the early 1700's. To see all it is about a 6 hour round trip from the condo - well worth the trip.
