The well-known Bavarian beergardens are restaurants famous for their beer and German food. Especially in summer you often sit on a long wooden table next to other beer lovers. Can‘t get more Bavarian than this!

German food. A beautiful Biergarten in the English garden. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. The pictures only show the restaurant, there’s an amazing outside area with the typical wooden tables. Locals love it as well!

On some days you will notice the smell of beer in the air around my apartment. That comes from the Löwenbräukeller which is a big beer brewery and a beautiful Biergarten / restaurant very close to my apartment. 10min walk.

I want to be honest: this is probably one of the most touristic beer gardens in Munich. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. Indeed it is one of the oldest and therefore mentioned in all city guides such as Lonely Planet. Worth going because of the architecture and it’s popularity. For a more authentic experience chose one of the others though!
