Restaurant servers primarily make a living off their tips. It is customary to tip 18-20% for good experience. If you had outstanding experience, I recommend tipping more than 20%. If you received a discount, please tip on the full pre-discounted total.

It is very humid between May and November. Florida is also known for daily rain showers and afternoon thunderstorms during this time. Good news is that the rain usually goes away after 1-2 hours. Recommend carrying an umbrella or poncho. December through April generally bring cooler temperatures, less humidity, and little rain.

Floridians like to be friendly. Feel free to smile at random people, say hello/good day, and hold the door open for the next person. Being kind pays off.

Cental Florida is not like NYC where you can walk everywhere. You will either have to taxi/Uber often or better, rent a car. Car rental companies often give discounts for weekly rentals. With your own car you will have the freedom to venture away from the main attractions and discover many exciting yet less-known places!

Disney puts on a firework show at Magic Kingdom in the late evenings every day of the week. You can often see it from outside of Disney parks. Google best places to view the fireworks for free!

Food inside the main parks can get expensive, especially if you do not use their dining packages. Grab breakfast early before entering the park (or prepare at home since you have a full kitchen at Seahorse Villa). Bring lots of healthy snacks to keep the kids contained until late lunch/early dinner, for which you should make a reservation ahead of time.

Once you buy a bucket of popcorn you can bring it back on future days you visit Disney parks, and they will refill it for the nominal charge. Even though it says it is only for that day. I bring my bucket from 5 years ago and it works everytime.
