This canal is right on your door step, head down Wells road and the footpath is on the other side of the road and grass area. Walk left or right to find the footpath and steps down to it. When looking at the canal from Wells Road, if you go right (West) you're off to Little Venice (gorgeous!) and Notting Hill (delightful), if you head left (East), you're off to Camden (awesome!), King Cross (worth a look these days, especially around the Central St Martins campus with its cafes and restaurants) and beyond! Enjoy!

I love this marina in East London, right near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, but a world away from the tourists and crowds. Get lunch by the snazzy boats and choose the one you'd like to buy if you won the lottery!

This is our local cinema, and is a lovely 30 minute walk away through Primrose Hill, which is lit at night, and the pretty streets of Belsize Park. The seats are super comfy and food and drink is delivered right to your side table or lap!

Wander around the skyscrapers and then go to Tom's Kitchen for lunch. Then head down the steps opposite the roundabout from Tom's Kitchen to the river and walk all the way along Narrow Street and continue following the Thames path until you get to St Katharine's marina or beyond... depends how tired your legs get!

This hot yoga studio is situated in an old Victorian building with super high ceilings and chandeliers. Not your usual stuffy basement. The classes are great, you’ll come out feeling centred and a few inches taller!

If you fancy a swim, go here! It’s right near soho, not far from the flat (15 mins in a cab - get dropped off at Urban Outfitters on Great Portland Street and walk - or a 45 min walk through Regent’s Park). It’s a lovely Victorian baths, old school style! Plus it’s dirt cheap.
