Posh little town in Marin, with boutique shops and restaurants. Recommended to take the ferry from the Ferry Building or to bike over the Golden Gate Bridge there and then take the ferry back.

My favorite town in Northern California. Sonoma has a wonderful plaza surrounded by wine tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops. In the greater area there are fantastic wineries.
Definitely worth the day trip if you have a car.
