Asiatique is a great place to hang out, shop and eat. It is even better now that you can get a boat from Sapan Thaksin. In fact, I would avoid going by taxi as the traffic in that area

Just 5min walk from platinum mall. Things here are cheaper than platinum mall. For example, denim shorts at platinum mall are around 150-350baht. I can get same shorts for 100baht here! Another example is socks; platinum is selling 3 for 100baht or if you're lucky, you can find 4 for 100baht. But pratunam market is selling at 5 for 100baht....
