Have you ever been interested in an all-inclusive resort because of the perks that everything you need (or could possibly think of needing) is provided for you on site? When looking for where to go for your next getaway, consider planning a trip to Sebastian Inlet. Sebastian Inlet is a beautiful area located within a barrier island along Florida’s Space Coast where the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean meet. You’ll have access to more activities, both inside and out, than you could possibly do in a day, leaving you pleasantly surprised in choosing this spot to vacation. Camping Offering both tent and RV camping on site, Sebastian Inlet is a perfect spot for those who enjoy the outdoors, morning, day, and night and gives you time to enjoy all the amenities without having to cram it into one day. With 51 RV campsites that have water and electrical hookups, restroom facilities, and a dump station, you can comfortably enjoy your camping setup.  If glamping or primitive tent camping is not your style and you would prefer a hotel, there are quaint properties along Melbourne Beach and the surrounding areas that can accommodate you and your crew.  Surfing One of the Space Coast’s favorite pastimes that is still enjoyed today is surfing. Home to pros like Kelly Slater and the Hobgood brothers, Sebastian Inlet is a mecca for those on the hunt for good waves. With three miles of beach offering some of the best surfing on the East Coast, Sebastian Inlet’s first peak is one of the most consistent surf breaks in Florida, which is located next to the north jetty. This is a great spot for a nice, long ride. Fishing With two jetties extending over the Atlantic Ocean giving you access to saltwater fishing, Sebastian Inlet provides a great place to grab the catch of the day, whether it’s a keeper and dinner for later that night or just for sport and you release it back. Perfect for all ages, the jetties are also ADA accessible so everyone can enjoy one of the Space Coast’s notable activities. A saltwater fishing license is required for those 16 and up.  Swimming “The Cove,” located on the north side of Sebastian Inlet, is the ideal spot for swimming or wading, especially for those of you who have kids or not strong swimmers. Since there are no lifeguards on duty, it is recommended to swim with a buddy, heed marked flags and warnings. And if you are a strong swimmer, swim at your own risk. Beach wheelchairs and specially designed floatable wheelchairs are available upon request. McLarty Treasure Museum For those wanting to add a little education and history to your time at Sebastian Inlet, you’ll want to check out McLarty Treasure Museum. Go back in time as you watch a movie showing the tales of the ill-fated 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet attempting to return to Spain but were thwarted when a hurricane hit Florida’s coast. Look at artifacts and other displays as you step onto the observation deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. And don’t be surprised if you still see people looking for more of the lost treasure on the sandy shores. Snorkeling & Scuba Diving Exploring under the sea isn’t just for the mermaids. At Sebastian Inlet, snorkeling and scuba diving give you a view of sea life that those who don’t brave putting their head under water miss out on. The rock reefs stretch for miles giving you hours of fun under the surface. Scuba divers and snorkelers must be within 100 feet of a dive flag for safety.  Boating What’s better than a day out on the water, cruising around, listening to music, making memories with those you enjoy doing life with? Sebastian Inlet gives you access to the Indian River Lagoon, the Intracoastal Waterway, the Sebastian River, and the Atlantic Ocean. Plus, with a marina to stock up on goodies, bait, tackle, and ice and boat ramps to launch from, you will be all set for a day of fun out on your boat.  Dining Sebastian Inlet has an on site restaurant, BG Surfside Grill, that serves up fresh, tasty meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner rounding out things you can do while here. So when you’re not wanting to cook out on the grill at your campsite or are only there for the day, the friendly staff will serve up your choice of meal whether you dine in or take it to go Sunday: 12:00am - 12:00am Monday: 12:00am - 12:00am Tuesday: 12:00am - 12:00am Wednesday: 12:00am - 12:00am Thursday: 12:00am - 12:00am Friday: 12:00am - 12:00am Saturday: 12:00am - 12:00am Amenities Laundry Barbecue Grills Pavilion/Picnic Area Pier/Boardwalk Playground Restrooms Showers ADA Accessible Good for Groups Good for Kids Pet-Friendly Water Front Wifi Biking/Cycling Paths/Trails Swimming

The park commemorates the epic 1513 voyage of Juan Ponce de León and his landing near Melbourne Beach, Florida on April 2. Juan Ponce de León's 7,980 nautical mile exploration into unknown waters set the stage for the subsequent European colonization of the USA. But that significant historical fact has been lost in the categorically untrue reports by past historians that he was a vain old conquistador looking for a fountain of youth. Colonel Douglas T. Peck, a notable Florida historian and principal speaker at the park dedication on April 2, 2005, concluded from comprehensive historical research that Juan Ponce de León was not looking for a fountain of youth, and that he landed near Melbourne Beach—125 miles south of the previously accepted site of his landing, St. Augustine. Colonel Peck, a retired US Air Force Command Pilot, has been engaged in his avocation as a historian of early seafaring Spanish exploration for over two decades. Using his expertise as a professional navigator as well as a historian, Colonel Peck re-sailed the voyage using Juan Ponce de León's detailed navigational log to determine in an accurate and scientific manner exactly where Juan Ponce touched shore or anchored in his 7,980 nautical mile voyage. His published works on the voyage have appeared in many academic journals, including The Florida Historical Quarterly (1992), in his book "Ponce de León and the Discovery of Florida", in media documentary, A&E Channel, Ancient Mysteries, and is available on the Internet. Juan Ponce de León, c.1460-1521, Spanish explorer, was the first Westerner to reach Florida. In 1493 he accompanied Columbus on his second voyage to America. From 1502 to 1504 he assisted in the conquest of Higuey (now the Dominican Republic) and was made governor of that province. After finding gold on Boriquén (Puerto Rico) in 1508, he conquered the island and was governor from 1509 to 1512. Hearing tales from the Carib of a wonderfully rich island called Bimini, said to be north of Cuba, Juan Ponce de León secured a commission (1512) to conquer and colonize that land. A legend developed that he was seeking a spring with waters having the power of restoring youth. From Puerto Rico on March 3, 1513, with three vessels, he sailed north west through the Bahamas, sighting the Florida peninsula (which he took to be an island) late in March and landing at the Melbourne Beach site on April 2nd. Probably because his arrival in Florida occurred at the time of the Easter feast ( Pascua Florida ), Juan Ponce de León named the land (which he claimed for Spain) La Florida. He turned south, and landed in what is now Brevard County while exploring the coast to Key West and up the west coast as far as Cape Romano. Plan a Turtle Walk in Melbourne, Florida this Summer See Sea Turtles on the Space Coast https://www.stellamarisenvironmentalresearch.org/guided-sea-turtle-night-walks.html Did you know the Space Coast is one of the most important sea turtle nesting habitats in the world? Every year between May and September thousands of sea turtles return to our beaches to lay their eggs. The best part is, there are several organizations that host guided turtle walks so that you can safely see and experience this incredible cycle. If you're headed to the Space Coast during Sea Turtle Nesting Season, don't miss out on one of these incredible tours. Come and experience a guided sea turtle walk. Guest will learn about nesting sea turtles found on Brevard County beaches, the threats they face and what they can do to help protect them. The evening will culminate with the opportunity to observe a nesting loggerhead. It is a lady's prerogative and she may change her mind, so we can not guarantee a nesting observation at each turtle walk. With that, our walks are held at Coconut Point Park, inside the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, the most important loggerhead nesting beach in the world. One quarter of all loggerhead nests occur inside the refuge, which ranges annually between 8,000 to 20,000 nests. Our trained scouts are a group of dedicated marine biologists and seasoned volunteers. They eagerly scout the beach for a nesting loggerhead sea turtle, using proper techniques to avoid causing disturbances. They are knowledgable and available to answer any of your questions during the event, even if it is just a general marine biology question! Arrival time is 8:55 pm. Adults and children ages 7+ are welcome to attend. Be prepared to walk up to 1/2 mile (likely less) on the beach to observe a nesting Loggerhead female. Water and bug spray could enhance your experience. Cell phones, cameras and flashlights will stay cozy in your car or at home. Please download the guidelines below to ensure the best experience for yourselves and our nesting mommas.

4916 Babcock Street NE Palm Bay, FL 32905 321-409-9670 You know you are in for some good barbeque when you find out that the meat is daily trimmed and cut, dipped in a secret sauce that Memaw herself invented over 40 years ago, then slowly cooked for hours over a real open-pit fire of select hickory and oak hardwoods. As the smoke helps to hold in the natural flavors and moisture of the meat, your senses will come alive once you step foot inside Memaw's. Don't be surprised if your mouth starts drooling. The anticipation is high as you peruse the rest of the menu picking out the perfect sides to go with your choice of meat. And if sweet home southern BBQ isn't enough, stop by for breakfast for a home-cooked meal that makes you feel like your own momma is cooking for you. No matter what time of the day you stop by, plan to have a feast waiting for you as you walk in to Memaw's BBQ.

If you are over the moon about seafood, then you belong at Melbourne Seafood Station, owned by seafood enthusiasts Naomi and Nick Moon. The Moon’s first foray into the seafood restaurant is a modest storefront in Melbourne. Their second location, in front of the Walmart on Palm Bay Road, is jazzier, with colorful pallet board-covered walls, an epoxied concrete floor and vibrant marine paintings such as Christopher Maslow’s “Exploding Mahi.” A side patio allows for enjoying the restaurant’s cornucopia of seafood baskets plein air. The community has received their menu with appetite, so the Moons are on the move toward making Melbourne Seafood Station a household name.
