Nydri is a port town that offers many pleasant surprises to the traveler, from all-day island-hopping cruise ship excursions to local wine tasting vendors. I even remember local children putting on shadow puppet theatrical displays in the street.

Ice-cold water, hot white sand. I have many fond memories of this place. Not sure about road access, mostly reached by boat.

Visit some of the local churches.
It is customary to give a small donation to the poor box in any of the many churches found in Greece. Meditate on what you wish for, light your candle, place it in the receptacle; and enjoy the peace of mind that Byzantine art provokes.

The swimming cove.
The semi-private beach down the stairs from your apartment is rocky, bring your bathing suit and your swimming shoes. Don't forget to use the outdoor showers to wash off those sticky pebbles before you go inside.

During the summer many entertainers and artists visit Lefkada to perform and exhibit. Usually in Lefkada town.
