Delightful lunch spot! Amazing carmelized tofu sandwich with pickled vegetables. Set within an historic strawberry processing barn alongside a great gallery representing local talent. Artwork, pottery, clothing, household, jewelry.

Great Mexican food and family friendly. It's located across the street from the Village Green in Eastsound village, so if you sit outside in their fun patio in the summer, you may hear great live music, too!

We like the informal Marina Bar and Grill in the summer season. Sit outside on the patio (with heaters) for lunch or dinner, or settle inside at the tiny bar for a cocktail and meet the boaters - you can pick up growlers of local beer there, too.
The bar and grill inside the Rosario Mansion is a historic room built by the original owner, a shipbuilder, with wonderful wood details and an amazing fireplace. This is a favorite place of ours to watch Seahawks games in the fall.

One of the best bookstores on this planet. Really. Amazing knowledgeable staff. Great journals and regional information. Great music and yummy coffee stand inside. Excellent kids section. We have spent many an hour there.

Unique, well made functional clothing with STYLE. Friendly and just plain fun place to shop for women's clothing. I always find things I like (and take home) there. Nikki is great!

Located on a bluff on the west side of Orcas with picturesque views towards Waldron Island, this pottery studio and shop is made up of several cottage buildings filled with local wares, of both island and visiting potters, set within a fairy tale landscape. Complete with treehouse and nooks and crannies to explore. Down a one lane dirt road off the beaten path. Just follow the signs.

Drive to Mt. Constitution and climb the historic lookout tower to gaze over the San Juan Archipelago on a sunny day from the highest point in the islands. Miles of hiking through amazing tall treed knolls, by mountain lakes and waterfalls. Easy to difficult trails. Freshwater Cascade Lake has paddle boats, swimming area, concessions and picnic areas. Hike the 2m trail around the lake to discover the timber bridge and old growth trees. We hunt for mushroom here in the fall.

A one screen theatre, this is a great place for a movie night. Often has a local musician provide acoustic music before the show. Last time I went, they did not show previews or ads. Thank you very much.
