The Schiessentümpel Waterfall in Mullerthal is THE most well-known tourist attraction in the Mullerthal area. It is about 10 minutes by car from Haller, and surrounded by outstanding woodland and nature trails.

Arts & Culture
The General Patton Museum is interesting for anyone who wants to learn more about the Battle of the Bulge (Eifeloffensive) and the work of allied forces in freeing Luxembourg from Nazi occupation. General Patton lost his life (and many men) liberating Luxembourg towards the end of the WWII and is buried in the American Cemetery in Luxembourg. The museum shows life in the trenches and many more examples of daily life for the allied forces.

The famous Family of Man photographic exhibition is located the chateau in Clervaux. While a fair drive from Haller (45 minutes approx.), this exhibition shows photographs from a world which, though not that long ago, has completely changed in so many ways.

Sightseeing
Echternach was originally grounded as a monastery by ST Willibrandt, about a 1000 years ago. Part of the monastery, the Orangerie, the church and crypt, as well as some of the original walls of the town are still in good order and open to the public. Echternach is a delightful little town, situated on the Sure river, with cobbled streets, a market place and historic buildings and festivals. It also has one of the best ice cream shops locally!

Op der Millen is located between Larochette and Medernach, a mere 10 minutes drive from Haller. They have a good selection of meals at reasonable prices and usually plenty of space. Generally good value for money. Closed all day on a Monday.

Rent a canou or kayak in Dillingen and spend 2-3 hours going downriver towards Echternach on the Sure (DE Sauer). There are a few rapids (not too scary) and some beautiful views along the way. Perfect for a sunny day. Great fun for adults and children alike.
