If you want a great view.. great service.. cheap drinks and good food then the Cheeky Monkey is a great place to stop and have lunch and a cerveza. It's right on the El Malecon Boardwalk with an outdoor patio and staff that make your visit both humorous and pleasant. The food is very good, service above average and the atmosphere fantastic.

Hip and very trendy, La Santa has become one of the places to be seen in town. Split into 2 sections, the club side has a large dance floor with house and guest DJs; the second part is the lounge with a retractable roof and swimming pool. La Santa has a rather high-end dress code, like, dress to impress. Chandeliers, decoration, seating, upscale, massive light show and sound system. Somewhat mixed reviews on the service and drinks but still really popular, and with a capacity of over 2,500 people. The place is hopping on the weekends.

Split into 2 sections, the club side has a large dance floor with house and guest DJs; the second part is the lounge with a retractable roof and swimming pool. La Santa has a rather high-end dress code, like, dress to impress. Chandeliers, decoration, seating, upscale, massive light show and sound system. Somewhat mixed reviews on the service and drinks but still really popular, and with a capacity of over 2,500 people. The place is hopping on the weekends.
McCarthy's is the surname of the founder of this great Irish Pub with adaptations to the taste of the national clientele, but it is also an excellent atmosphere accompanied by good food, the best national and imported beers, it is live rock, the transmission of sporting events and the best way to have fun. Sightseeing
Sandy, palm-lined cove beach with a jungle backdrop, boats & palapas selling drinks. A trip to Mismaloya beach is worth your time. It can be crowded in some parts but not so crowded in other areas, water is clean and accessible to all ages. The iconic film "Night of the Iguana" was also filmed there. Just down the beach are several restaurants with very friendly people eager to wait on you. Try the Coco Loco.....a yummy alcoholic beverage served in a coconut.

You can get anything from snacks to booze to coolers and ice. Prices are super affordable and make the most sense if you pay in the local currency, though I've heard they will accept US dollars. People are always very friendly and willing to help out if you have questions.
