We love Cate's pizza! Get it to go or sit outside on their lovely patio. Admittedly, the staff is not always the best but it's worth it for the pizza.

There is not better place to be then Frederick's on a Sunday afternoon, listening to live music by fantastic local artists and eating a bucket of their famous hoops (chicken wings). It's a great place for big groups but we highly recommend calling ahead for reservations to sit outside. The inside seating is a bit disappointing, especially during summer. They often host karaoke and have a wonderful bar and very active night scene.

If you're looking for a romantic night or a more upscale meal, there's no better place than Chateau. The lake front dining is a quiet getaway, even though it's just steps from main street. They offer a great selection of wine and specialty cocktails with top-shelf liquor to match it's high-end decor. The staff are incredibly friend, especially the owner, Buddy. It's a great spot for a romantic evening with candlelight tables set out on the lawn or for a family evening. The staff will even bring s'more kits to the outdoor fire pits so you can sit an relax with a drink while your kids enjoy some campfire dessert. The meals are a bit pricey but well worth the experience.

Best breakfast with a great diner atmosphere. We love their specialty lattes, french toast and super potatoes (Mexi style)! The staff are all local and very friendly. There is a great outside patio for the summertime but, expect to wait unless you arrive before 10.

Come by boat or car to this wonderful Lakeside (or cliff-side) restaurant and bar. Blue Water Manor is a fantastic spot for lunch on the water with amazing burgers, salads and apps. The specialty cocktails and beer selection are just as good as the incredible view! Sit at the bar (first-come-first-served) or call ahead for outside seating during the peak hours. *We don't recommend the breakfast buffet but having breakfast from the regular menu is a good option!

Great food, great staff, decent atmosphere. With no outside seating, this spot might be better for a rainy day or if you've had too much sun. The food is excellent as well as the bar.

An interesting menu different from most of the American-style dining in Bolton landing. They have a great patio and occasional live music. Located right on main street, this place can get busy and the bar will stay packed well into late night.

Most people don't think of Bolton Landing as a music destination but we highly recommend attending an event here if you have the chance. Check the website for their summer concert schedule: https://www.thesembrich.org/

Essentials

Need to do your weekly shopping? Head to Tops! It has a large parking lot in case you need more than an arms-worth of groceries for the 5-minute walk. There's typically a small farmers market in the parking lot for local produce and home-made pies and treats.

Great place for sandwiches serving Boar's Head meat and few selection of homemade side dishes (pasta salad, potato salad, coleslaw, etc.) plus they make awesome breakfast sandwiches! They have a good selection of beer, snacks and camping essentials plus ice for your cooler. The staff are incredibly friendly but it can be a bit slow so call your order in ahead of time so it's ready for you to pick up. Just steps from the townhouse.

The beautiful nature of the Adirondack's can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. We highly suggest taking a family tube or raft ride down the river. Bring a cooler for some refreshments as you float, but, please ask about the conditions before signing up as the 'lazy river tubing' can be a bit more exciting than advertised depending on the recent rainfall. The company provides all the necessary equipment and is located about 30 minutes from the townhouse.

Burn some calories and take in the beautiful nature of the Adirondack's with a challenging and exciting high ropes course. The park can get crowded during peak summer months, especially on the weekends. We highly recommend booking in advance, online and going during the morning and week days. The black and red courses are definitely challenging and require decent upper body strength and overall fitness. You MUST wear sneakers so please come prepared as they do not have any to rent. This activity is great for families with teenagers or large groups.

Walk across the street for a great little public beach, park and pier. The swimming area is small but great for young families. Fish off the pier or have a picnic in the park with BYO-coal grills. There are also public basketball and tennis courts as well as bathrooms so there's no need to walk back and forth to the townhouse.

Drinks & Nightlife

We love Adirondack brewery! The beer selection is fantastic. We usually get a flight to taste the new brews and take home a growler (or two)! Our favorite is the Bear Naked IPA. They have a good selection of pub food and a nice patio although there isn't much of a view. It's located about 20 minutes south in Lake George village but well-worth the drive.
