Gangnam station itself is a huge underground shopping mall. My special recommendation for this area is clothes and cosmetics because there are hundreds of street clothing brands and road shop cosmetics shops. Truly cheap!

Local Emart won global Walmart. Emart Yeoksam is the closest branch of untouchable no.1 mart chain. Due to their strong merchandising and pricing strategy, Walmart had to withdraw from Korean market. The closest movie theater from your place. Just across the street and there Megabox is. It's one of the top3 movie chains in Korea. If you're interested in local movies & art films, Megabox is slightly better choice than CGV although they are still very commercial.

Youngdong traditional market place is food oasis in the city. You'll see countless nice restaurants and street food here. Also, Nonhyun station area is popular place for nightlife. This place never sleeps and you can even see people waiting in line to get into a bar on Monday morning.
