Our favorite breakfast spot. Mitch (the owner) is very helpful and always greets guests with a smile. Feel right at home with the crowd as the satellite TV;s lets guests enjoy "THE GAME" .

Great seafood in a truly relaxed spot. Both local and visitors intermingle. My favorite place for cebiche, grilled fish and a great margarita or pina colada (the best in Akumal in my opinion).

Upscale food, with great location for stargazing on the water in the evening. Check out the bathrooms, they're whimsical and a great dash of bright colors.

We often go here early for a great view of Tulum beach with a fabulous breakfast. All items are worth trying, but as a favorite its the eggs benedict with Canadian ham.

Unbelievable French patissiere. If you love macarones, they make them better than the famous one's from Paris. Trust me I've been there.

On the beach with swinging chairs at bar & family friendly. If rainy, go to second floor enclosed seating area & enjoy. There is also palm tree-house that kids love to climb & have a ball. The cocktails are surprisingly good. It is a relaxed place to enjoy.

I discovered this eatery this past year. Consistently good food, predominantly seafood based. The variety offered is impressive & Jaime (the owner) is gracious & patiently explains the Pacific Coast fare featured on the menu. The bar has local brews, & bartender really knows his selection well. Come & relax like a local. Down 1 block from Telas Assis (fabric store/Michael's/Mexcian produced clothing).

Great new addition to local food scene. All dishes are prepared in traditional form & served in authentic pottery. Sauces are spectacular & ask staff for tasting of all (our favorite lime infused avocado sauce). Very unique menu & excellent execution.

Just fell in love with a off the beaten path restaurant. We returned for a second time to enjoy the great service & food. Staff is welcoming & the offerings are worth coming for. Wood fire burning oven made pizza was awesome. Throughly enjoyed wood oven baked eggs drowned in morita sauce (just try it you'll love it) with home made rustic bread was just perfect.

Delightful location to enjoy a great meal. Menu has both meat & seafood options. Our grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. The dishes had a beautiful presentation & staff was well informed. Service was great. Local is beautiful and on side street for a peaceful retreat from the busy main drag. Highly recommend to anyone who is just wondering in Tulum Centro.

Xbaal: Avda Tulum Mza.4, Lote 1 in Tulum Centro Great style linen clothing & accessories.

Located on the main street, same block as Don Cafeto restaurant. This small boutique has very high end linen line that captures the "look" that visitors can enjoy showing off while in the Riviera Maya or during their summers back home. Very reasonably priced for high-quality style.
It is just a 15-20 minute north of our home. Head north & take middle lane for bypassing local traffic. Take exit ramp to 34th. Stay on 34th to the end (which intersects with 5th Ave - pedistrian only street). Make u turn at the end & park off street or in paid lots you will see to your right within 1 -2 blocks Great restaurant on 34th St & 5th before reaching corner: La Perla del Pixan (authentic recipes served with knowledgable staff). Walk on 5th & enjoy the crowds, boutiques & restaurants. AH CACAO is a must for hot chocolate (AC seating area in the back) for late night dessert. On Fifth Ave, 3 -4 blocks to your left is ALDEA CORAZON , sophistacated & relaxing food establishment.

Families have great fun learning about the local environment & cave systems. Usually a marine biologist leads this very informative excursion. The millions of years of nature carving these caves is astonishing. Splurge & enjoy the zip-line (always a favorite with kids) adventure. The monkeys are fun, but very mischievous. Just drive up & pay by credit card (last time 2017-18 $35/person).

Ancient ruins , hiking thru jungle & spectacular views from the highest pyramid in the Yucatan all add up to a must do adventure. Get there early to beat the crowds. Climb Nochna-Mul first, enjoy the views, then continue on a guided tour. Entrance is $10 USD & guide should be paid fairly for his time ($20-30 USD). Travel agencies charge $90/person & personal tours are better. Bike rentals available at entrance for more exploring.

City/town information

Its changed so much over the years. Yet its still a place that is fun for boutique shopping. Just wondering is fun. You never know what to expect as you try a new restaurant. We always take time to explore & find new adventures. Recently (Jan-2022) we ate at El Asadero (Avda Satelite Norte Mz 23, Lote 5 ; Tele: +52 984-157-8998) & it was wonderful to watch people go by as we enjoyed a great meal. Also found : La Hydra by GiGi - where all things are made fresh & the wood fire burning oven cranks out fabulous food.
