Adventure
If you have a hankering for adventure, load up the car and take a trip down the Chestatee river. Our family loves these river trips. App outfitters has kayaks and canoes to rent for a fun trip down the river. The help you put in at the rental location and pick you up when you are done. This usually takes us 4 hours if we take some breaks to swim. Bring a cooler and fishing pole if you’d like and leave your phones in the car or secure in a ziplock baggy. Always a great time floating the river.

Wineries
Probably our favorite winery in the area. A short 10 minute drive from the cottage. This beautiful winery has an amazing vibe, playground for the kiddos and alpacas roaming the fields.
(Make sure you try the blackberry and peach wine if you are into sweet wines).

4 miles from the cottage, frog town has our all time favorite muscadine wine. The views here are also amazing. If you get hungry their charcuterie and lunch is great as well. Another must visit.

MUST VISIT. 14 miles from cottage. Make a reservation and go have brunch here. You will not regret it, great wine, great charcuterie, great food, AMAZING VIEWS. If anyone if the group isn’t able to walk up steep grade i recommend dropping them off up the hill then find parking. 10/10 must go here

Grocery stores and Firewood
There is an INGLES right in town in Cleveland. They have everything you could possibly need when it comes to groceries and the essentials. They also sell bundles of firewood. Sometimes guests leave their extra firewood down by the pit but it is not a guarantee there will be any there. Also, there is a dollar general about 5-7 minutes down the road if you need to get something quickly. INGLES is about a 15-20 min drive. Most gas stations have bundles of firewood as well but INGLES is your best bet.
