For a hike near the cottage, Baker Hill & Long Ledges trails offer beautiful views of the bay and Acadia. Go east on Rt 1, turn left onto Punkinville Rd. The trailhead is 0.2 mi on the left.

This is our favorite lake for swimming in the summer. You can access it via a 1/4 mile, easy hike. That means there are no motorboats or jet skis, just a quiet pond circled by wooded mountains.
