Delancey is our favorite restaurant in Seattle. Everyone comes for the pizza, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Put your name down (and prepare for a long wait), then head next door to Essex for delicious cocktails and snacks.

Great pub with a super local feel at Fishermen's Terminal. They have an excellent beer list, and an awesome happy hour every day. Be sure to check out neighborhing Wild Salmon to see what kind of fish is in season.

Magnolia's new French bakery run by a sweet French couple. My favorite thing here is the pistachio twice-baked croissant, but the baguettes (baked by Ballard's Tall Grass Bakery) are the best in the city.

This is Renee Erickson's most well known spot in Seattle. Walrus is famous for its oysters (both fresh and fried), but everything here is exceptional. Also be sure to try the sardines and cocktails. There's always a wait unless you show up before they open, but there's lots to explore along Ballard Ave while you wait. The adjacent bar (Barnacle) is also wonderful.

Fantastic Northern Thai food. Pestle Rock is unique in that it sources its meats and seafood from local vendors. You can't go wrong, but the Kao Soi is as good as anything you'll find in Chiang Mai.

Amazing little bakery tucked away in a quiet area of Ballard. Make sure to get a Kouign Aman if you go - it's sweet and salty, and perfect for breakfast.

Parks & Nature

Incredible views, hiking/running trails, and access to the beach. At over 500 acres, this is Seattle's largest public park. The loop trail is a great 3-mile, mostly flat hike.

This is a great place to visit if you’re new to Seattle. You’ll see the fish ladder, and boats moving through the Locks. Great place for a picnic as well. You can access the Locks from either the Magnolia side or the Ballard side.

Sundays year-round. If you get there early enough, be sure to try an oyster slider from the Hama Hama stand. There are also lots of great brunch spots nearby - Senor Moose, San Fermo and Gracia.
