In this skiing town, when you simply want to sit and chat with friends or end a day of skiing with some good ol’ drinking, the place to go is Beech Mountain Brewing Company. It’s perched just right in the village of Beech Mountain Resort and is a beloved hangout spot of avid skiers in the area, but is open to everyone! Their best year-round brews are their signature lager, the Beech Blonde, and the First Chair Coffee Blonde. Of course, these fine brews are best accompanied by their classic eats like chicken tenders, loaded fries, and so much more!

For those who enjoy or would love to try their hand at fishing, Beech Mountain is a great destination. One of the best spots for fishing here is Lake Coffey, one of the lakes that are annually stocked with fish by the Wildlife Resources Commission. The lake is best for delayed harvesting of trouts, particularly brown, rainbow, and brook trouts. A gentle reminder to those who want to fish at Lake Coffee, a regular inland license to fish must be obtained first!
