Probably the best and most authentic mexican in Vancouver and it is right on your doorstep. 3 tacos costs like $12 and it is more than enough. Really quick, good AND cheap. A real gem

There are a lot of great Ice cream shops in Vancouver but this one stands out. Regularly a 20 minute wait, even in the winter!
The vanilla and salted caramel are amazing but look out for their rotating ice creams too as they only offer them in store.

Snow in the winter and downhill biking in the summer.
Whistler also has a great walkable swiss style town with amazing shops and restaurants. It is well worth a trip for the day, even without the skiing.

Very local centered park, people will have birthday parties here and use small BBQ's instead of cooking at home.

Busses are the best way to get close to where you need to go
Jump on any bus and just ask the driver "How do I get here?"
They will tell you which bus to take and where to go to wait, they are very kind and knowledgeable.
Otherwise it is very good to be familiar with the Skytrain and how to use it to zip about a little further in Vancouver.

A favourite for locals and for tourists. Granville island has a mixture of local vendors and an amazing food market showing off local produce.
Make sure to try some salmon!
