Sightseeing
Victoria Park is less than a 10-minute walk along the canal from our flat. You can stroll through the park, or grab a coffee and pastry at the really tasty Pavillion cafe. On Sunday there is a popular food market with many varied food stalls.
If you have kids, there are some great playparks, one for younger children and another for slightly older kids.

Hackney Wick is a really arty and vibrant neighbourhood close to the flat. You can walk along the canal in 20 minutes and see the famous graffiti in the area. There are bars and restaurants along the canal, which are perfect for an afternoon drink or night out.

On Saturday they have a market which does really delicious pop up food, grab a bite and sit in London Fields!

Really cute little independent Italian restaurant that also doubles up as a deli during the day. It's really reasonably priced and does the best ragu!

One of our favourite restaurants that does the most delicious dumplings and cocktails. It's about a 15 min walk in Victoria Park village - and you need to book ahead of time! It gets booked up quickly!

This is a classic pie and eel shop along one of East London's classic original markets. They do really good sweet and savory pies (and you don't have to get eels!) and is a classic London experience!

The Olympic Park is a growing area in East London and home to some of the best parks for kids in London! Also next door to Westfield Stratford if you want to do some shopping in a big commercial shopping centre.

This is a wonderful cafe in the middle of Victoria Park. You can get a coffee and a pastry and walk/sit in the park, or you can get one of their delicious brunches and sit outside in their seating areas (warning it's cold in the winter!).
