An extinct volcano sitting in the heart of the city. The views from the top are spectacular and it's one of the first things you will see when you leave the flat. You can reach it on foot in 15-20 minutes or by bus in 5 minutes.
It takes 1-2 hours to scale and on a good day you can see over to Fife! In lockdown, the popular challenge was to do Edinburgh's 7 hills in 1 day.
There is also a bit of a mystery to solve with the Arthurs Seat miniature coffins that are on display in the National Museum of Scotland. Who created them and why?

Arthur's Seat
An extinct volcano sitting in the heart of the city. The views from the top are spectacular and it's one of the first things you will see when you leave the flat. You can reach it on foot in 15-20 minutes or by bus in 5 minutes.
