Walk around the building, check out the statues and take a stroll by the Danube. Once you cross a bridge, be sure to look back on the parliament, it's even more beautiful from the other side!

Have a drink or bite or just walk around this modern building and spot the academical buildings on the other side. Cross the river on Liberty Bridge (the green one) as that's the prettiest.

There is a lot to see in the castle district, but the Bastion is probably the most famous one. Nonetheless, you can spend half a day just walking along the castle walls and forget that you're in a metropolis.

This market hall is not only an architectural beauty but also a functional market with Hungary's best to offer. Don't be fooled by the looks, local people also come here for goods. Try the mangalica sausages, paprika spice or real Transylvanian bacon. When you're finished go up to the cafeteria and eat with locals for a few EUR per meal.
