This is THE place for local fare. It's a tad down the road but for local food it's the BEST. I didn't even like fried green tomatoes but the sauce they put on the side with feta cheese.. amazing I always get ribs but everything we have had here is delicious.

Second generation owner, he's a VET and active Guardsman. Its run by only him and his family, if Hes called up its closed till he gets back. They have a limited menu, but their burger is WHERE ITS AT. Only open evening they do karaoke (must see) no smoking and Tues is classic car night. Its SUPER close to your unit probably best burger in town. It's a place for the locals and very friendly. Not dressy (I can't stress this enough) They serve beer here as well.

Pretty sure this is the closest Liquor store. For many years the whole county was "dry". Not that close but we are happy to have it. If you head into Knoxville, there are Many more options

The pit master starter is AMAZING and huge and we also ended our years long search for actual scratch made chicken fried steak here, I'll say it.. its the best see website for menu.

I mean it's a bit pricey but if you have dreamed of one-on-one monkey time.... here it is. They have an otter experience as well but I'm all about those monkeys!

Even just a drive through in the Fall is worth the trip. Absolutely gorgeous view of wildlife and leaves changing color is breath taking.

It is a Meca of tourist fun. Shops, attractions, restaurants, ski lift to the top of the mountain to the Swiss chalet for snow skiing or bear habitat. Be aware Gatlinburg has a main drag that can be time consuming with traffic, but it's worth a go.

So, this is an ADORABLE little free walk-through museum and gift shop. It's really cool, doesn't take long and has a pretty decent little restaurant attached.
