Famous Silver St has restaurants and bars and though we don't drink, it is an historic place and worth see for the history or visiting some of the local bars. Visit the Iron County Historic Museum for a great history lesson.

Porcupine Mountain State Park is beautiful. It's on Lake Superior, near Ontonagon and Silver City which are also very cool to visit. It is an hours drive from Ironwood. Fantastic fall foliage You can hike, camp or just drive around. The beach is beautiful and there are many places to pull over and just enjoy.

Beautiful drive (18 miles north of Ironwood). Very unique suspension bridge that leads to a stunning beach. There is a pavilion, parking, hiking trails,many stunning water falls are up river. You can hike there or drive. You can kayak the river but only if you are very experienced and check with the locals first

Short (very steep) scenic hike to a absolutely beautiful scenic view of the entire area. Kind of a secret spot. Not great for children under 3. You'll have to carry your young ones, so I wouldn't recommend it for babies, toddlers.
