If you are British and you are missing the supermarket products you have in UK you need to go here. They have Waitrose, Iceland and other products you find in supermarkets in UK. Some products like Haagen Dazs ice-creams and Dove soap are much cheaper than the large Continente nearby in Algarve Shopping. All employees I contact with were British native, so you will feel at home.

This is the gas station where I tend to refill the tank before I go to the airport, since the prices tend to be cheaper than anywhere else in the region. Make sure you refill it completely, so it is still full when you return the car in the airport. You can use the following website to check the fuel prices around you (preferably on your mobile to identify where you are): https://www.maisgasolina.com/
Then go to "Mais baratos perto de si" (cheaper near you), select the type of fuel and "Distancia ate 15km" (distance) and it will tell the prices in all gas station in a radius of 15km. If the price looks to good, check that the price was updated recently.

If you like chicken you must try the "Frango da Guia" (Checken of Guia), the best grilled chicken in Portugal. Quite different of Nando's (for UK or South African), but I like both and to be honest I think I prefer Frango da Guia to Nando's. The price is quite popular but also the service and the restaurant are simple, it is worth by the food. We recommend both Ramires and Paladium.

Vila Joya is located in the Vila Joya boutique hotel, the focus is on high quality produce purchased daily from local fisherman and farmers. On Thursdays Koschina serves his famous gala dinner with eight courses, for the rest of the week there is a set dinner menu of six courses. Only 2km (1.25 miles) from the resort. Extremely expensive; the sophisticated food that might not be to the taste of everyone.

Morgado Golf Course
Morgado Golf course is one of the most quiet in the region. The 18-hole course is in an area that as been moderately landscaped so it fits perfectly in the surrounding countryside. Besides its length, the course also as an impressive average green size (800 m2), lakes and a series of strategically located bunkers. These features combine to make this golf course a true Championship Course.

Álamos Golf course is a different course. It has great views over the water reservoir and the vineyard, showing the peaceful inner Algarve. These irregular fairways are tighter than Morgado Golf, and each hole is well delimited by native trees. Greens are smaller comparing with Morgado, but more irregular. Together, Morgado and Álamos represent a complete test to your golf skills and the guarantee of some unique moments.

Álamos Golf course is a different course. It has great views over the water reservoir and the vineyard, showing the peaceful inner Algarve. These irregular fairways are tighter than Morgado Golf, and each hole is well delimited by native trees. Greens are smaller comparing with Morgado, but more irregular. Together, Morgado and Álamos represent a complete test to your golf skills and the guarantee of some unique moments.

Getting Around
If you want to rent a bike or a scooter you can do it here. It is in Lote 14, the same building were you collect the keys, so in the resort. Despite the name you can also rent a car here. In any case I strongly recommend you to rent a car for the entire stay and pick up the car in the airport, it is cheaper and what you save on the taxi / uber to the resort very often pays the entire rent a car. Closed during the Winter (November till March or April, tbc).

Drinks & Nightlife
The Old Town in Albufeira has over one hundred different restaurants and bars, while the nightlife scene is vibrant and social, and continues late into the night. For those groups of visitors wanting a more of a hedonistic holiday should head to New Town and “The Strip”, a street crammed with bars and clubs which actively encourages excessive drinking and partying.
Great if you are a couple without kids looking for some fun.

Luis Figo's 'Bar Sete' (bar seven) is also on the marina front. During the day, although it can get quite busy, it's really a very peaceful area to stroll around. It gets more lively at night, with everyone coming to eat and try out some of the bars, but is still a very relaxed area. Great for dinner, a walk, coffee or drink after dinner.

The Benagil Sea Cave is probably one of the most famous and best places in Algarve.
The whole coast has been eroded creating sea caves in some places: on a boat trip from Benagil beach, you can see roughly 30 of them. Some are open to the sea, but others like Benagil, have only small entrances, creating a real cave experience.
Benagil is circular with a colourful dome and a hole at the top for the light to come in. Everything is there for an unforgettable moment!

The whole coast has been eroded creating sea caves in some places: on a boat trip from Benagil beach, you can see roughly 30 of them. Some are open to the sea, but others like Benagil, have only small entrances, creating a real cave experience.

The Fortaleza de Sagres is located at the southern tip of the Sagres Peninsular and this uniquely designed fort protected the town from raiders from North African. It was from here that Henry the Navigator devised his 15th century expeditions to the uncharted seas around the western side of Africa, which heralded in the golden era of Portugal exploration.
