“Everything is just delish” at this “cool”, upscale Venice Beach Med delivering a market-fresh menu of “fantastic”, “original” large and small plates elevated by some of the “best cocktails west of the 405”; service can be “slow” and it's often “a bit noisy”, but overall most say “it stands out in an area of great restaurants”; P.S. “for those on a budget, the front room is lovely for brunch on weekends.”

This is has been a local Venice bar for years. It's a more casual place to meet up with friends for a beer/glass of wine and people watch on Abbot Kinney!

Sightseeing

Every summer on Thursday nights at 7, the Santa Monica pier has a concert. A fun thing to do is to ride your bike there and enjoy the live music! It's also fun to walk around the pier, maybe take a carousel ride and enjoy the ocean/mountain views!

Arts & Culture

This place is amazing! Lots of art work, starting from the middle age. They have a few buildings so you can definitely spend a whole day here. The Getty is also free so that's a perk if you are looking for something to do with a low budget. They also have a gorgeous garden, so if you want to opt out on the art (don't know why you would) you can always check that out. It is very relaxing! You can also see parts of the city from up here. Definitely a must visit if you are in LA.

This is definitely a must see when visiting LA. You can get there by car (although parking is limited) or better take an uber. Be here to see the sunset. The dome opens at 7pm, and if there are no clouds you should see Jupiter or some other planet (changes from time to time). This place also has the best views of night time LA. AND it's totally free of charge!

A world class museum with vast collections across many areas. From the European painting collection and the South and Southeast Asian art section (including some gorgeous Chola bronzes). The grounds are very large and nice to walk in. They sometimes feature live music!
