Family owned restaurant for portuguese food. They are famous for their "Filetes de Pescada". It's simply a nice place where everyone seems to know each other and the food is cheap.

Cunha is a bakery with a ton of history, but what I'm recommending here is actually the snack bar, known for its architecture (by Victor Palla and Bento d'Almeida) as well as their "Prego no Pão". They are open until 2:00am so if you get a sudden midnight urge for food, it's the place to go!

They are best known for their "Frango de Churrasco", but serve other good meals! When ordering remember that 1 dose is usually good for 2 people.

It's simply a nice place to go out. They have different music themed nights and are open on monday nights too!

Sightseeing
It's a very good place to see the sunset in the summer. I really like Jardim das Virtudes, too (it's very near to the Passeio) but it closes at 19:00.

Passeio das Fontainhas has a very cool view to Douro, and it's usually not very crowded so you can have some peaceful contemplation of the river.
