Because of really great beer selection - this pub has on tap a lot of specials and beers from small breweries. The food there is also nice. At weekends it can be more difficult to find an empy table.

Chinese restaurant. The place has running sushi, but we recommend to choose a sushi menu from a card - you will get much bigger fish pieces. We always leave with full bellies and paying similar money as if we would get us a running sushi.

Have you heard about "cronuts"? We do not have donuts here in Czech republic, our donuts are bit different and they are called "kobliha"... In Oh Deer Bakery, they have a great "croblihy". Yumm

On Tyl Square are during year farmers markets (Monday-Friday 08-18 o'clock). In Advent time also Christmas market with mulled wine and "Langoš", "Trdelník", sausages etc.

Traditional Czech cuisine made different - using the old traditional ingredients (mostly vegetable which typical Czech person does not even recognize anymore). Professional staff, good prices. The only negative is there is usually a lot of people so reservation is a must and also it is quite noisy there, so not good to just sit and talk.

Mediterranean restaurant with a nice and friendly service (obviously not Czech :D), they offer good quality food and I personally love their "pinsa" which is some "old roman pizza". In a good weather you can also sit outside and enjoy the Prague's atmosphere.

Very nice bistro with a lot of vegetarian options with a nice staff. Usually quite busy, it is small so to get a table is quite tricky, but I see regularly people eating on the street just in front of the bistro. It is English friendly.

The square is dominated by the neo-Gothic Cathedral of St Ludmila, built from 1888 to 1893 according to plans drawn by architect Josef Mocker, and the Art Nouveau Vinohrady Theatre, dating to 1904-1907. At Parukářka Park, you’ll find three children’s playgrounds, and parents can grab a snack at the nearby legendary underground pub or at the original bar with garden in front of the entrance to the bomb shelter, where an 11 m high climbing wall was built in the stairwell. You’ll also find the Cold War Museum here.

It is located right next to the Bastion, also a recently renovated sight that offers a beautiful view of the Vysehrad castle and the Congress Centre across the valley. Unfortunately, all the reviews of the fancy restaurant that occupies a part of the Bastion say it is not worth a visit.

Cocktails & karaoke bar, karaoke is FREE, it is very close to the apartment.
Usually groups of people from all over the world is there (last time lovely Mexican chicks thought me how to drink a beer the "reversaso" style while a Korean guy sang the Gangnam style :D).
