Don't let the location's burger joint retro-fit space fool you. The sushi is quite good. I recently went there with some high-falootin' San Fransisco asian movie producers and I thought that they would be critical of the place. They were. They critically-acclaimed it. They talked about the food the rest of the night.

The Pearl has put San Antonio on the culinary map with the CIA (Culinary Institute of America). Many chefs in town are making their mark and they are graduates of the school. The Pearl is a mixture of lots of things, shops, cafes, restaurants, riverwalk access, etc.

The Market Square is what you won't find in another city. All the other stuff we have is replicable. Market Square isn't.

This is like an outdoor art museum extension to our Riverwalk. I recommend taking a stroll there early to mid-morning and then finding a breakfast nook somewhere along the way. I used to train for the Rock and Roll marathon in this area and I always loved the eye candy that was all over the place.

This place rocks! Literally! It is a beautiful hike with a very doable climb to the apex of the rock. It is very picturesque and is family friendly. It is about 1 1/2 hours away.
