He has a "pay it forward" cup near the cash register which gives a free cup of coffee to anyone who needs it--not just the indigent, but also those who happen in without money for a cuppa. He's a great guy with a cool spot. Huddle up in the old bank vault with a friend for a cozy cup of coffee.

Always an interesting exhibit of local artists' work. On most weekends, there will be a very high-quality musical production--remarkable, really, for a town of 8,000. And on New Years' Eve, there is the legendary cheese drop.

This is a beautiful hike in all four seasons. There are snowshoeing areas and well-maintained cross country ski trails. This is absolutely one of my favorite places in the world to hike in.

This is a beautiful hike in all four seasons. There are snowshoeing areas and well-maintained cross country ski trails. This is absolutely one of my favorite places in the world to hike in.
Another hiking area, connected to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Gorgeous, especially in the fall; but I love it any time of year.
