Crazy history, and strange mixture of Gothic, Baroque & Muslim - built by Catholics, converted into the city's main mosque during Turkish occupation. Few war flags too for good measure.

Huge island in the middle of the Danube in the city. It has everything for a fun day out, including a singing and dancing fountain, sprawling rose garden, mini-zoo, convent ruin, food & drink, Japanese Garden with ponds, big meadows for picnic or sports, large outdoor pools (you need to pay in to these). It’s quite a walk to go around it so nice to rent a pedal carriage, or hop on the little sightseeing train to get familiar with the area.
