This place has great breakfast and is super popular. But does often have a long wait. So if you have a leisurely morning, check it out, otherwise something else might be faster. It is one of the most popular breakfast spots in town.

Good lunch menu. If you go at peak hours, it can be a very long wait. Consider ordering and picking up if you want to be faster. A local FAV!

The Grill is on the other side and has fabulous brunch everyday and really yummy dinner food too. Kind of fancy Alaskana Mexicana. Great beer and cocktail selection.

This is one of our best music venues. They do shows several nights a week. All kinds of genres of music. Some nights are free, some are not. They also have a dinner menu, and a cool little "secret" speakeasy upstairs where you can get fancy cocktails. Fun.

This place is a BAR but they do have live music like 5 nights a week. And they're 2 blocks away from our house! Our friends play there on Tuesdays for Greatful Dead Jam night. They also always have free food like homemade chili (that's actually really good!)

This place has the best view in town, with a deck overlooking the inlet. Deck is only open in the summertime. And they have live music on the deck too. They also have fabulous food, pretty good beer, and they have a music venue there that people rent out for all kinds of events and shows. A great music venue option a lot of time. I like the Fish Tacos. Good burgers too. Oh and fancy pretzel with cheese : ) It's also a good family restaurant place during the day.

This place is out in Girdwood like 45 minute drive. My husband used to work here and we know the owners! We also got married here : ) It is one of the most beautiful spots around. It has some of the oldest buildings in the area, and is an historic gold mine. You can learn how to pan for gold, and go down in the river and try to get some yourself! A nice gift shop where you can buy Crow Creek Gold. There are still people gold mining there year round and making a living doing it!! There's also a fabulous hiking trail where you can ride a hand tram across the river, and you can actually walk all the way to the Alyeska Hotel from there and take a bus back in the summertime. Moderate/east terrain
