It is placed inside the Church of Panagia Antivouniotissa. The church date back to the XV century. To reach the entrance follow a staircase starting in Arseniou road. The church has one nave with a beautiful painted ceiling. In the Byzantine Museum there are about a 100 icons that cover a historical period of three centuries.

Achilleion's location provides panoramic views of Corfu town to the north and of the southern part of the island. The palace garden is impeccably landscaped.

The massive New Fortress was built in 1577 by the Venetians to protect the city against the Turks. Wander through the empty stone halls and passages and, best of all, climb to the top for amazing views over the terracotta rooftops of the old town and out to sea.
