The care taken to honor the atmosphere of the original 1910 house creates a feeling of another time and place. The house is secluded in a prize winning garden and approached through a stone pergola. The Craftsman furniture, lighting and antique Persian carpets reflect a distant and captivating sensibility. This house has been featured in three books and “American Bungalow” magazine. The garden was mentioned in Sunset Magazine and featured as one of the premier gardens of University Heights.

This quaint bungalow sits in a prime location of Hillcrest, a highly desirable area in San Diego. It is very quiet and private and sits directly behind our house(pictured) with a beautifully landscaped brick courtyard. Enjoy this newly remodeled stylish studio in the heart of Ocean Beach. Light and bright with a refreshing ocean breeze from its large central window. It’s just over a half a mile to Dog Beach and a quick ride to Sunset Cliffs, with some of the best surfing and beaches in San Diego. This studio has its own private entrance, full bathroom with shower, and kitchenette. In addition, the studio includes a standing desk with a large second monitor to accommodate your remote working needs.

Stay in the cozy studio, tucked behind my main house. The studio has queen bed with memory foam on the mezzanine level. The ground floor is a living room with fold up desk, a garden view, small fridge and microwave, two single chairs. Next to studio is private bathroom, open air shower and sink area. Outside relax in the shaded garden area just for guests. Please respect the no smoking on the grounds. You can borrow a push bike with lock and helmet.

This bright and cozy cottage has everything you'll need to feel at home.
