Salt Pond Retreat

Blue Hill Peninsula cottage in the center of downeast Maine - Blue Hill, Castine, Camden hills, The Wooden Boat School, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park! The house itself is a quiet, family and couples-friendly cottage with a lovely hike through the woods down to our sandy beach on the Salt Pond. Kayaks (with PFDs) and bicycles are available to rent at the nearby Activity center in Blue Hill and we can provide a basic orientation to the property and nearby waters and exploring our outdoors.

The Black Haven Tiny Home

This new modern home is anything but ordinary. With four 11 foot windows lining the front of the home it allows for the space to feel light and airy. The bright interior is a perfect contrast to the exterior. Located in a quite neighborhood close to Newbury Neck Beach. This home offers parking, WIFI, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor lounge area. 5 acres of lawns, gardens, and meadows and a gentle rocky beach on Blue Hill's Salt Pond, a protected inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. The house faces south towards the water and overlooks a gorgeous blueberry field that turns a majestic shade of deep red in the fall. Acadia National Park ocean front & garden cottages

Both our houses are designed in the contemporary style. We used custom made decor and cherry tree furniture. A lot of windows, glass doors, bright and open space are inside the house. It is very quiet outside. You most likely will be alone at the beach. We share the whole sea cove with only one neighboring house. It is a pure paradise if you want to live on the beach on your own and within minutes of driving to the main local attractions. You'll be amazed of our botanical garden and landscape.

We are located very close to historic Castine and Maine Maritime Academy, and about one hours drive from Acadia National Park.
