Forge Cottage

We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Lovely 18th Century cottage. Family weekend retreat for 40 years. Warm, comfortable, peaceful. On Pennine Way and C2C cycle route. Walker's paradise. WIFI + smart TV with Freeview Access by steep track, unsuitable for wheelchair. 5 minutes to village shop. 4 miles Alston for supermarkets, antiques, wholefood shop, petrol, pharmacy, steam railway. Hadrian's Wall 1 hour, Northern Lakes 60 minutes, Newcastle 90 mins, Manchester 150 mins. The most relaxing place we know.

Our luxury cottages are perfectly placed for tranquility and adventure set in the beautiful countryside of North West Durham. Only 20 minutes drive will take you to the world heritage site of Durham City and 30 minutes into Newcastle, with the most welcoming of Geordie hospitality. Both cities are noted for their stunning architecture along with superb restaurants and traditional pubs. There are many local attractions for all ages within a good walk or a short drive.

The Annexe

The Annexe on High Woodside Farm is an ideal location for couples or families who want to visit the North East of England It is a 15 minute drive to Durham and a 30 minute drive to Newcastle and Sunderland a 40 minute drive. The Annexe has an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge on the ground floor with a bathroom, consisting of toilet, sink and shower and 2 bedrooms on the first floor. It is very light and modern and has a small courtyard.

Beaufront Hill Head

Built in 1780, this thick -walled cosy cottage has historic charm with modern comforts. South facing with stone walled garden, from which you can survey a spectacular view 20 miles deep and 35 miles wide over the Tyne valley. The cottage is at 700 feet above sea level and you feel you are on the roof of England. It is situated in a quiet rural location 2 miles from both Hexham and Corbridge and half an hour from Newcastle.

Self contained Pied a Terre in Leafy Jesmond

This Pied a Terre is next door to St Mary's Chapel and Jesmond Dene. It's a 5 minute stroll to lovely places for breakfast, drinks or an evening meal. Transport links are excellent, the metro into the city centre, metro centre, the airport and the coast is a 10 minute walk. You’ll love my place because of the location, it really is perfect. I have off road parking you can use and easy access to motorways both north and south.
