The Detroit Moth StorySLAM takes place here on the first Thursday of the month. It’s a high-energy story listening. It’s fun and we laugh. People put their names in the hat and 10 get picked to tell their 5-minute stories. There’s a theme—one night all the stories had to do with being in a hot mess. They get a score and at the end of the night someone wins. They added a second StorySLAM in Ann Arbor this year because the Detroit event was so popular it was always sold out and we turned away so many people. I host it and it’s fun—you’re going on this ride. It’s every third Tuesday at Circus Bar & Billiards.

Pure and simple; Marble Bar is a gem. Music varies around the clock but big or small the parties are great. Its popular with the locals so be prepared to meet some real Detroiters when you come.
