Wat Arun , locally known as Wat Chaeng or Temple of Dawn, is situated on the west (Thonburi) Bank of Chao Phraya River. This temple is directly opposite Wat Pho, so it s very easy to get to.

The temple is on the edge of the Chao Phraya River and is best seen from the east side of the river, especially at sundown. The mount is considered the center of Buddhist cosmetology, representing the center of the universe and the focus of the mind.
