There was a lot of buzz when this bookstore opened in 2015 as part of the revitalization of Grandmont Rosedale, a beautiful old neighborhood. There’s something very civilized about it. It has restored wooden floors, beautiful carpets, a big fluffy cat who’ll sit on your books, and tables where people can sit and talk and read. The Turner House, a novel that was shortlisted for the National Book Award, about a Detroit family. It really took the hearts of Detroiters in particular, and Angela Flournoy, the author, came to Pages to read from it.

Smaller indie new bookstore with perfectly hand-curated selection. Out of the way, but drive through the historic neighborhoods to the north of it while you're there. (Detroit - 20 min away)
