Hannan House Cafe

On the Wayne State University campus, Hannan House was established as a one-stop-shop for the aging population but has expanded its programming over the years. One series they do is called Poets & Pies, which runs from September to July. They serve three or four kinds of pie, and two or three writers read. They really represent diverse voices. The setting is perfect. It’s a great way to have a relaxed, intimate conversation with local writers.
