Frenchman is a great option instead of bourbon for live music. Great music venues everywhere. The street vendors have great food if they are out, and we love stopping at 13 for a bite to eat as well.
This is a street which leads off from the French Quarter at Esplanade. For a few blocks it's lined with good bars that offer music every night. Also seeing a bunch of art pops ups appearing over there.
Best nightlife in town with LOTS of live music! Lots of unique bars, great crowds, and random/unique New Orleans things.

“The one and only. Grab a hurricane from Pat O's, sing at the Cat's meow, or just walk around with a drink in hand.”

“Perfect way to spend a day touring the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Sculpture Garden. After the museum walk over to Cafe du Monde and enjoy Beignet's and coffee. Take a walk along the tree lined pathways throughout City Park and maybe hop on one of the swan paddle boats. While you are there don't forget about Storyville or the New Orleans Children's Museum!”

“This is a must do! It may take you more than one day to tour and be able to soak it all in! You are able to immerse yourself into a journey through WWII. The exhibits are like no others that you have ever seen. You can go online to purchase your tickets in advance to save the wait in line, www.nationalww2museum.org”
