South Side features East Carson Street which is famous for its very long strip of bars and restaurants and is perfect for those seeking nightlife/partying once the sun goes down. It is about a 7 minute drive or Uber ride from the home and located to the right of Station Square when looking towards the city.

With Pittsburgh having among the most bars per capita, South Side definitely contributes to that tally. East Carson Street has a lot of restaurant and shopping options during the day and an active evening drinking culture. This is where many Duquesne students hang out and the crowd heavily skews towards 20-somethings in the evenings. South Side also offers escape rooms, stair climbs up into the South Side slopes, a very fun vegan/antique brunch place - Zenith, a lovely river walk, and a local Hofbrauhaus with an outdoor beer garden.

Check out one of Pittsburgh's most active and exciting neighborhoods. Experience over 20 blocks of Pittsburgh's finest dining, shops, entertainment, and even tattoo parlors. It is packed with anything and everything one could desire within walking distance. With its convenient location to downtown, endless activity, and easy incline access to Mt. Washington, home of the finest view of Pittsburgh, it's easy to see why so many are attracted to the Southside. If you are looking for things to do in the South Side, East Carson Street is quite an experience and would take some time to fully explore.
