Lake Montriond during the summer is a great location to spend some time. You can swim in the lake, picnic on the lakesie, take a leisurely walk around it or venture a further and walk to the waterfall. There is also a cafe and restaurant at the lake. Parking is free.

Free swimming lake. Stunning Alpine lake setting with a couple of nice restaurants and kayak/ stand up paddleboard hire available. Pony rides and mini-golf are also available. To get here from Morzine - from the church by the river take the D228 / Route des Bois Venants towards Montriond, follow this for approx. 2km. Once in Montriond take the right fork which is signposted for Le Lac, the Lac is approx 3km from here. You can also get the M bus from Morzine which runs once an hour or alternatively it is approx. a 1-hour pleasant walk up the river path.

No matter what time of year you're visiting, Lac de Montriond is worth a visit. In the winter it's a winter wonderland. Covered in ice and surrounded by snow it's a peaceful place for a walk with great views. You can even go ice diving if you fancy it. In the summer, the lake is buzzing with activity. Swimming, kayaking, slacklining, BBQ's and the sun-soaked balconies of the restaurants around the edge of the lake are a great place to unwind.

Fabulous mountain swimming lake, great for walking, running, or chilling. There are a couple of restaurants and you can hire a kayak.
