Mexico's gondola boat rides. This place is very lively on weekends and you can find live mariachi/bands playing, food vendors and drinks served on your boat. It's a very fun experience for the family. Make sure to be dropped off at "Embarcadero Nuevo Nativitas" and don't pay more than $500 pesos an hour or $900 pesos for two hours (which we recommend) Operating 10am-7pm Embarcadero Cuemanco is more family friendly and controlled by the Marina Military for safety. Make sure to take the "Super Via Poniente" Freeway and "Segundo Piso del Periferico" Freeway to get there much faster and safer. 35min using this route.

Most of the experiences go to the party boats, I specially love the off the beaten path visit to the chinampas

Take a "chalupa" (boat) and tour through the canals while you drink a beer or eat some typical food and listen to mariachis. A must-see!

Xochimilco is how Mexico City used to be in times of the aztec; little islands crossed by canals. People gather to dance and drink inside small rowing boats. Go with a local!

Great place for outdoor sports such as jogging, cycling, rowing, walking, etc. Also, a couple meters away you can board de "trajinera" or small boat that can take you for a ride in the world famous floating gardens of Xochimilco, a place declared a World Heritage by UNESCO. In this lake you can also get an idea of how ancient civilizations like the Aztecs used to farm their food and vegetables in a places they built called "chinampas". A place where you can find many interesting things if you like and enjoy being in the nature.
