After many years in operation the ancient wheel survived the 1939 bushfires. The waterwheel generated electricity for machinery & lighting. Batts Creek walk is a 20-30 minute walk along a little creek

Completed in 1957 the Upper Yarra Dam is an important water source for Melbourne. The park is a popular camping, BBQ and picnic spot.
