Originally known as the Lycian Center for the Performing Arts. Surrounded by eight acres of beautiful mountain and lake views, Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center has housed international touring companies, summer concert series, gallery exhibits, film festivals, weddings, community educational programs and many more. The Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center is committed to providing the residents of Chester and Mid Hudson Valley with a thriving arts and community facility. They aim to bring in and host both local and international artistic performances, events, as well as educational and community involvement programs. Sugar Loaf is all about arts and crafts, with many stores featuring the craftsmanship of many local artists. There are several nice restaurants, as well.
